DC Indymedia editor Nancy Shia is running for an ANC seat on the Green ticket.

Who knows what her campaign is going to be about? Banning women from attending DC United games to emulate her Iranian heroes? Demanding that the Tehran Times be available on every street corner? It will be amusing to watch Nancy in public forums when she is confronted with her outrageous comments she has made on DC Indymedia in support of Islamic extremism and her belief that comments such as "Why I don't like Jews" are not anti-semitic. Unfortunately for Nancy, the area she is running in is not Judenfrei, so her political chances are not too good.
